Position Summary
PMG is a software company which depends heavily on a high quality services team to help clients design processes and implement the Service Catalog software solution to suit their business needs. The Consultant will report to one or more Service Delivery Managers assisting with the preparation of project deliverables including requirements, design, configured software solutions, testing documentation, etc.
The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years experience with a top consulting firm working with clients to deliver IT solutions, or relevant in house experience, including internships and/or relevant course work.
Software Configuration
The Consultant will be the primary project delivery resource and as such must be able to design, develop, test, and migrate software solutions
- Gain and maintain expert level proficiency with configuration of PMG software suite
- Understand modular program design principles and design stable, simple, reusable forms and workflows to meet client needs
- Configure forms and workflows according to designs
- Write database queries to work in forms and workflows
- Work with development team to design any necessary customizations
- Configure system interfaces as needed
- Conduct unit and system testing of all solution elements
Business Process Analysis and Design/Business Acumen
The Consultant will be expected to participate in and add value to business process analysis
- Understand project scope and goals and ask intelligent questions to clarify understanding of business processes
- Make suggestions to improve solution design throughout requirements analysis and design phase
- Understand business value drivers for project and articulate project progress and success in terms of their value drivers
- Constantly strive to deliver additional value to client
Must Have
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent problem solving and analysis skills
- Familiarity with web applications and relational databases
- Familiarity with software development life cycle, particularly testing methodology
- Familiarity with SQL
- Team orientation
- Ability to travel – up to 75% average annually, ability to travel full time a definite advantage
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with .NET scripting, Visual Basic, JavaScript, or other similar language syntax and concepts.
- Additional spoken/written languages, particularly German, Dutch, French
